چکیده

Objectives: The quadriceps angle (Q-angle) measures the force vector of pull extensor mechanism knee. A larger Q-angle is thought to be a predisposing factor for patellar dislocation, but previous literature has reported poor reliability and validity clinically measured Q-Angle. In response reliability, new “Standard Q-Angle” (SQA) was developed by Merchant et al. (Merchant 2020) in an attempt create standardized repeatable method measuring SQA may practical, inexpensive, valuable part physical examinations help clinicians decide if concomitant medializing osteotomy indicated stabilization procedures. However, not yet been validated patients with anatomic risk factors recurrent instability such as patella alta trochlear dysplasia. Furthermore, while previously demonstrated have strong interrater it never shown correlate measurements lateralized tibial tuberosity, Tibial Tuberosity – Trochlear Grove (TT-TG) distance. Therefore, purpose our study determine correlation between TT-TG distance instability. We hypothesized that there would positive 1. Tibial Tuberosity-Trochlear Groove Distance Shows no Change in Patients with or Without Knee Osteoarthritis.

Objective The primary aim of this study is to compare tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove (TTTG) distance in patients with or without knee osteoarthritis. Additionally, the variability of tibial tubercle according to trochlear groove was evaluated. Materials and Methods In this retrospective cohort study, TTTG distance was measured with two different methods on magnetic resonance (MR) images. ...

The Influence of Tibial Tuberosity-trochlear Groove Distance on Development of Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

Background: Tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance (TT-TGD) measurements play a decisive role in evaluatingpatellofemoral joint disorders. However, the prevalence of pathological TT-TGD among patients with patellofemoralpain remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to compare the size of TT-TGD among patients with patellofemoralpain syndrome (PFPS) and those with no history of patell...

Measurement of Tibial Tuberosity–Trochlear Groove Offset Distance by Weightbearing Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Scan

Background Computed tomography (CT) scans are useful for objectively measuring bone alignment because they show bone detail particularly well, and these scans have been used extensively to assess patellar orientation. The tibial tubercle-trochlear groove (TT-TG) offset distance has been shown to be influenced by knee flexion and weightbearing, yet conventional CT scans are obtained with the sub...

Value of the tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance in patellar instability in the young athlete.

BACKGROUND A lateralized tibial tubercle may be a relevant anatomic factor in patients with patellar instability and can be used as an indication for a distal realignment procedure. However, parameter values for the tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance in the young patient have not been defined. It also remains to be determined how this parameter contributes to patellar instabili...
